Every question we get asked about electric gate repair & emergency callouts, answered straight.

Questions

How It Works

  • Is it safer to leave the gate alone until the installer arrives?

Yes, if the gate is moving unpredictably or a safety device has failed. Repeated attempts to operate a faulty gate can worsen the damage or create a safety risk. Use the manual release only if you need to move the gate and you know how it operates.

  • What if I delay calling and just wait to see if it resets?

A gate stuck open leaves the property unsecured. A gate stuck closed can trap vehicles or block deliveries. Intermittent faults also tend to worsen over time, a sensor drift or loose connection that causes occasional stops can progress to a complete failure if left unattended.

  • What information helps when asking for a call-out?

Describe whether the gate is stuck open, stuck closed, or working intermittently. Mention whether it is a home, shared entrance, or commercial site, and note any recent impact damage, power cut, or failed safety device. That helps the installer arrive with the most likely parts.
