What Goes Wrong
Cutting corners on motor selection, post condition, or wiring creates problems that appear weeks after the installer has left.
A standard swing gate motor rated for aluminium will overheat and fail when paired with a heavy hardwood gate that exceeds its torque limit.
Motor selection is based on the actual gate weight and timber species, oak and treated hardwood are assessed individually before any operator is specified.
Fitting a motor to posts that have shifted or are set in deteriorating mortar means the gate will misalign within months, regardless of how well the motor is installed.
Post rigidity and mortar condition are assessed during the site survey, and any remedial work is quoted upfront as part of the full installation.
